WMSV General Manager
Beginning his duties in 2015 as general manager for Mississippi State's radio station WMSV (91.1 FM), Anthony Craven previously served as the station's longtime news and public affairs director. As general manager, he oversees all day-to-day operations to ensure WMSV promotes the university while providing the best mix of music, news, sports, and information available in the local area. WMSV was named one of the best college radio stations in the southeast at the 2021 Southeast Journalism Conference. Craven also works closely with MSU students, teaching and training those who are interested in future broadcasting careers.
Craven is a lifelong Mississippian who received a bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s degree in education from Mississippi State University. He is an active member of both the Mississippi and National Association of Broadcasters. He also serves as the public address announcer for Mississippi State football and basketball, and he is the play-by-play broadcaster for MSU softball and soccer on the SEC Network+. When he's not working, he enjoys worshipping and serving as an elder at Grace Presbyterian Church in Starkville and being with his wife Tracy and their son Jacob.
